This isn’t ordinary biotin — it’s Lustriva®

The clinically studied hair-and-skin complex inside MaryRuth’s peach-mango liquid multivitamin.

Biotin is everywhere. Gummies, capsules, shampoos, serums — the beauty aisle has turned it into shorthand for hair. But the question is not just whether a product contains biotin. It is which form, what it is paired with, and whether the ingredient has actually been studied in women.

That is why MaryRuth's Liquid Morning Multivitamin + Hair Growth is more interesting than a standard hair vitamin.

The peach-mango liquid contains Lustriva® — a patented complex made with inositol-stabilized arginine silicate and magnesium biotinate. In plain English: a biotin + silicon complex designed for beauty-from-within support.

Most hair vitamins stop at biotin. This one uses a clinically studied biotin + silicon complex. The Wellness Edit

The problem with ordinary hair vitamins

The hair supplement category has a sameness problem. Most formulas use the same surface-level promise:

  • Add biotin
  • Add beauty language
  • Add before-and-after energy
  • Hope the customer does not ask too many questions

But hair changes are rarely a one-nutrient issue. Hair is influenced by nutrient status, stress, hormones, scalp environment, age, protein intake, iron status, thyroid status, illness, medication and styling damage.

So a better hair supplement should do two things at once: support the normal nutrient foundations hair depends on, and give a clear reason it is different from generic biotin.

MaryRuth's does that with Lustriva®.

What Lustriva® actually is

The ingredient breakdown

  • Magnesium biotinate: a proprietary biotin form described as 40x more soluble than standard D-biotin.
  • Inositol-stabilized arginine silicate: a source of silicon and arginine used in the branded Lustriva® complex.
  • Clinical study: tested in healthy women with self-reported thinning hair over 12 weeks.

The reason silicon matters is structural. Silicon is involved in the connective-tissue conversation: collagen, skin structure, hair fibre quality and the appearance of strength and shine.

The reason biotin matters is more familiar. Biotin contributes to the maintenance of normal hair and skin. It is also involved in normal macronutrient metabolism.

The reason the combination matters is the branded ingredient data.

The study in 30 seconds

A randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study looked at 90 healthy women aged 21–65 with self-reported thinning hair and physician-confirmed Savin/Ludwig Scale criteria.

They were randomized into three groups:

  • High-dose Lustriva®
  • Low-dose Lustriva®
  • Placebo

Hair measures were assessed with TrichoScan HD. Skin measures were assessed with imaging systems including Antera 3D and Cutometer.

The headline: the high-dose Lustriva® group showed significant improvements in hair thickness measures compared with placebo by week 3, maintained through the study. At 12 weeks, the high-dose group also showed improvements in facial wrinkle depth and skin texture measures.

Week 3 is not a magic promise. It is the earliest clinical signal from the ingredient study.

Why MaryRuth's format makes sense

A lot of hair supplements fail for a boring reason: people stop taking them.

Capsules get forgotten. Powders feel like a project. Gummies can be easy, but they often turn into a sugar-flavoured single-purpose product.

MaryRuth's makes the compliance argument simple: two tablespoons in the morning. The format is liquid, peach-mango flavoured, and can be taken with food, juice or on an empty stomach.

For a beauty supplement, that matters. Hair routines are not one-dose transformations. They are 8–12 week consistency plays.

What else is in the formula?

Notable nutrients

  • Zinc: contributes to the maintenance of normal hair, skin and nails.
  • Vitamin C: contributes to normal collagen formation and protection from oxidative stress.
  • B vitamins: contribute to normal energy-yielding metabolism and reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
  • Vitamin D3: contributes to normal immune function, bones and muscle function.
  • Folate as calcium L-5-MTHF: a methylated folate form.

Generic biotin vs MaryRuth's

The usual biotin product MaryRuth's Liquid Morning Multivitamin + Hair Growth
Often biotin-only Lustriva® biotin + silicon complex
Pill or gummy format Peach-mango liquid morning ritual
Hair-only positioning Hair, skin, energy metabolism and daily wellness support
Little differentiation Branded ingredient with human clinical data
Easy to forget Two tablespoons daily, designed around routine

Who should pay attention

You might consider this if:

  • You want hair support but dislike capsules
  • You already take a multivitamin and want a beauty angle built in
  • You want a product with biotin and zinc for normal hair, skin and nails
  • You want something more substantial than a generic biotin gummy
  • You can commit to a consistent 8–12 week routine

You should not think of it as a medical treatment for hair loss. If shedding is sudden, severe, patchy or linked to illness, postpartum changes, medication, iron deficiency or thyroid symptoms, speak to a professional.

The bottom line

The best frame is this: MaryRuth's is not trying to be a topical hair fix. It is a daily nutrient foundation with a clinically studied hair-and-skin ingredient built in.

That makes the product more interesting than ordinary biotin — and more practical than a shelf full of beauty supplements you forget to take.

Common questions

Is this just biotin?
No. It contains biotin, but the differentiator is Lustriva®, a branded biotin + silicon complex. The product also includes zinc, vitamin C, vitamin D3, B vitamins, methylated folate and other nutrients.

How long does it take?
The Lustriva® study showed significant measurement changes by week 3 in the high-dose group, but visible beauty changes are better judged over 8–12 weeks.

Can it stop hair loss?
That is not the claim. Biotin and zinc contribute to the maintenance of normal hair. If you are experiencing sudden or severe hair loss, get proper assessment.

Why liquid?
Compliance. The best supplement is the one you take consistently. A peach-mango liquid makes the morning routine simpler for people with pill fatigue.
